Get started with the Ekutu QR API
Welcome to the Ekutu QR API documentation π This guide will help you get started with the API, generate your API key, and begin integrating QR solutions into your applications.
Overview
The Ekutu QR API allows you to programmatically generate and manage dynamic and static QR codes using the same high-performance engine that powers qrcode.ekutulimited.com. It is designed to be simple, fast, and scalable for both developer prototypes and enterprise production workloads.
The API is fully documented using OpenAPI and can be integrated into any modern backend or frontend stack.
API access is 100% free for all registered users on Ekutu QR. No subscription fees and no credit card required.
Step 1: Download the OpenAPI Specification
Ekutu QR provides an OpenAPI (Swagger) specification that you can import into tools like:
- Postman
- Insomnia
- ... other API Clients
You can download the specification here:
https://api.qrcode.ekutulimited.com/api/v1/openapi.jsonImporting the OpenAPI file into Postman or other API Clients is the fastest way to explore and test the API.
Step 2: Create an API Key
To authenticate requests, you need an API key.
How to create an API key
- Log in to your Ekutu QR account
- Open Dashboard β Settings β API Keys
- Click Create API Key, give it a name and optional expiration
- Copy the secret immediately β it is shown only once
Keep your API key secret. Do not expose it in public repositories or client-side code.
Your API key is shown only once during creation and cannot be viewed again. Store it in a password manager or environment variable. If the key is lost or compromised, revoke it and generate a new one from the same settings page.
Authentication
All API requests must be authenticated using your API key.
